Bokeh Simulator & Depth of Field Calculator
This application calculates the depth of field in a photo, visualizes it and simulates the background blur (bokeh) based on parameters like: lens focal length, aperture, sensor size and distance of the object and the background from the camera. Changes in parameters are immediately visible in the simulation. This allows to easily observe how they affect the final effect.   Added 3/18/2015

Two new methods available using Photoshop CC in which specific frames can be extracted from a video and saved in hi-res are explained by Photoshop product manager Bryan O'Neil Hughes.   Added 8/9/2014
Using Textures in Photoshop
Textures can add special effects to images. "Adobe Paper Textures Pro" is a free add-on that makes using them quick and easy. and it comes with some free textures as samples. You can then start to shoot textures and build your own library to use. The first link above will show you how to get the app and the second will give more examples of using it.   Added 5/25/2014
Remove Color Casts in Photoshop
Color casts can be difficult to identify. With this technique it is quick to identify the inverse and use solid fill layers and blend-if sliders to counteract the color cast. There are many more useful tutorials on this YouTube Channel of Michael Woloszynowicz.  Added 3/7/2014
